I can’t decide if this would be the star of a meal or just an extremely delicious side dish. Have it either way, this garlic mashed potato is creamy and oh so heavenly – best part is, you need less than 5 (base) ingredients!
INGREDIENTS:
- 4-5 large potatoes
- 50g of butter (you can add more)
- 1 whole bulb of minced garlic
- 200 ml of heavy cream/cooking cream
- Salt and blackpepper to taste
HOW TO MAKE IT:
- Boil your potatoes in generously salted water until it is soft when poked with a fork.
- Sautee your minced garlic in butter/olive oil until slightly brown and set aside.
- Hand mash/use a food processor to blend your potatoes until smooth.
- Add in the sauteed minced garlic, butter, heavy cream, blackpepper and salt to taste. Mix until well combined.
- Serve hot, topped with melted butter + chopped chives (optional).
