I don’t know about you but green beans has got to be one of my favourite vegetables – sweet and crunchy, it’s so good when sautéed especially with butter, garlic and breadcrumbs! This green beans side dish compliments any holiday mains on the table and is oh so easy to make.
INGREDIENTS
- 500g green beans
- 3 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp dried mixed herbs
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt & pepper to taste
HOW TO MAKE IT
- In a pan, melt 1 tbsp of butter and sautee 1 tbsp of minced garlic until fragrant.
- Cut the ends of your green beans and toss into the pan, sautéing until green beans are bright green and slightly cooked – this should take only around 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan once done and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the remaining butter and sauté the remaining minced garlic until slightly brown.
- Toss in the breadcrumbs, mixed herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy.
- Finally, toss in your cooked green beans and mix well, ensuring the green beans are coated with the garlic breadcrumbs.
- Serve immediately.
