Indomie is a staple in my household growing up and while eating it as it is, with the condiments that came with each packet is just sublime, my tastebuds have grown to like different renditions of Indomie as well and my favourite is a thai-fusion one I call Bangkok Indomie. It’s bursting with flavour and has a good blend of sweet, spicy and sour kick to it. Every slurp will leave you wanting more.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 packets of Indomie Noodles with Condiments (Original or Spicy Flavoured only)
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic

- 2 Tbsp Thai Fish Sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- Juice of 1/4 a Lemon or 1 Small Lime
- 1/4 cup hot oil
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Boil 2 packets of Indomie noodles as per packet instructions, drain, and set aside.

FAQ
- What if I can’t find Indomie where I live? If you’re unable to get Indomie, you can use other instant fried noodle brands with soy sauce based condiments. Alternatively, you can purchase plain instant noodles and just add dark soy sauce and MSG to this recipe.
- Why is there no salt in this recipe? No salt is required as the thai fish sauce and Indomie condiments are already salty as is.
- Can I substitute coriander with other leaves or Chinese Celery? It is not recommended as the taste outcome will differ.
- I can’t tolerate heavy spice – can I use normal red/green chilis instead of birds eye chili? You absolutely can!
